Krishna Janmashtmi Celebrations

In order to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna, a celebration was organized in our school with full of enthusiasm on 23rd August 2019. Principal ma’am offered prayers with flowers and Prasad prepared by students of standard 9th at the feet of lord Krishna.

A choir trained by our music teacher Ms. Ketki, presented a bhajan and a melodious song on little lord Krishna which caught the full attention of the listeners. Mrs. Sunita threw some light on the life of lord Krishna and his deeds.

Principal ma’am also delivered a short speech and blessed each and every well being of our school. The presence of lord Krishna was felt in the school premises as primary kids were dressed in colourful attire representing lord Krishna, Radha and Rukmini.

Gokulashtmi and without Dahi Handi… Impossible!

The Child Lord Krishna and his friends used to form Human pyramids to break pots hung from the ceiling of neighbourhood in order to steel curd and butter.

We followed the same tradition on that date; however, the earthen pots were filled with flowers and puffed rice. Two groups each from girl’s and boys took part in forming pyramid and breaking the pot under the guidance of sport’s teachers. It was really spectacular which taught us team work, unity, co-ordination and to focus in order to achieve our goal.

In the End the following day was declared Holiday on account of Janmashtmi and Dahi Handi.

The whole school including both children and teachers danced and enjoyed on the ground wholeheartedly. Which can never be forgetful.

JAI SHRI KRISHNA!
